About CDEM

The Certificate in Diabetes Education & Management (CDEM) is a structured training program created to strengthen India’s capacity to manage its growing diabetes epidemic. Developed with clinical and academic expertise, the program focuses on practical learning, modern technology integration, and community-level applicability.

It bridges the critical need-gap for trained diabetes educators, frontline healthcare providers, and practitioners who can manage diabetes confidently and safely.

The Need for This Program

India has one of the largest populations living with diabetes.
Many regions, especially rural and peri-urban areas, lack qualified diabetes educators and trained practitioners.
AYUSH practitioners, nurses, community workers and primary-care providers often serve as the first point of patient contact.
Advancements in digital health, AI, CGM, and modern drug therapy require updated practitioner training.

CDEM is designed to address this national gap through standardized, multidisciplinary, clinically oriented education.
